The Pirelli Eufori or as written on the tyre Eufori@ is a run flat. The Eufori was one of the first run flat self-supporting type tyres found on cars. Namely the Mini and some BMW models had the Eufori tyres on first. The eforia only came in a run flat option, meaning if you had the Eufori tyre on the car then you definitely had a run flat.
The Eufori found it’s way on to some BMW vehicles although Bridgestones were increasingly become popular on these cars as well. The Eufori and the Bridgestone were both Self-supporting meaning they had very stiff sidewalls. The sidewalls were beefed up, whereas a standard tyre sidewall is very rigid and thin and can flex under stress and load. The Pirelli Eufori had no flex in th sidewall and hence they were very uncomfortable to drive on. The fact that most of the cars very low profile sizes made the matter even worse.
The price of a Eufori tyre was quite significantly expensive compared to any standard Pirelli tyres, and drivers were only aware when they came to replace them for the first time. There were very few drives who liked the eufori run flat, in fact most of them would have preferred a spare wheel and over time many have opted to change the run flat tyres to standard ones. Today Pirelli and Bridgestone have both improved their run flats vastly and they are not as bad as they used to be. Some of the later models are nearly as good as standard tyres. Pirelli run flats are now available in their other patterns including the Cinturato, Pzero range this made sense as these are good performance tyres unlike the Eufori which was never a good in the first place.
